Malaysia driving trainingIt goes without saying that the end goal of registering with a school is to learn how to drive the proper way. On top of the theory courses that you will have to take, you will also have to display basic driving abilities before you can be allowed to take the road test. To achieve this, your instructor will work with you for hours in an effort to help you hone your skills and improve your overall awareness on the road. Only after you have proven that you are a competent driver will you be able to take the final test. 

When is the right time to start learning how to drive? While you can start learning how to drive with a relative or a friend, getting into a car with an instructor is preceded by several steps. First, you need to pass a theory and a computer test. After that, you will have to take a few hours of car maintenance courses before you can start practical training with your instructor. Unlike the theory and car maintenance courses, there is no set hour limit on how long the training will last. Usually, you will be allowed to take the test when your instructor feels that you are capable of driving in a proper and prudent manner. The training itself consists of essential driving maneuvers that should constitute the core skills of any driver. Throughout this process, you will be tasked with mastering the basics, namely how to parallel park, do a U-turn, and drive in traffic and highways.

How is the road test like?The drive test is the final exam in your learning process. After passing it, you will receive your probationary license. Here is what you can expect to be tested on in the road exam.

A slope test: 

This supposed to test your ability to handle the car on an uneven surface. Slopes tests are especially challenging when you are driving a car that has a manual gearbox.

3- Point turn:

Also known as a broken U-turn, it refers to the method of turning your car around to face the opposite direction using forward and reverse gears. 3-Point turns are necessary for narrow roads that don’t allow for a proper U-turn.Reverse driving: In this part, you will be expected to showcase your ability to drive in reserve in a proper and safe manner. It is imperative that you maintain a steady direction while doing it.

Parallel parking:

This is another integral part of the test. Knowing how to parallel park between two cars is one of the most helpful driving skills that you could learn. It comes in handy on a daily basis and mastering it is simply a must.  

Road driving test: 

This is the final part of the test. At this point, you will be required to drive on the open road under the watch of one of the examiners. Completing this test is predicated on showcasing an ability to drive in a proper manner as well as displaying a strict adherence to road laws.
